Location Scouting: Old Refugee Camp

This morning I went on a hunt for a derelict looking area/building for a shoot as part of my Uni project. I never imagined I'd find somewhere this derelict!

The area was used as an RAF camp for WWII.  Around 1970 it was used to resettle Vietnamese refugees fleeing from the oppressive regime in their country.

I was overwhelmed with the haunted feeling around the site and dread to think what occurred in these camps.  On a happier note, the location is perfect for my planned shoot and I can't wait to revisit with a 5x4 camera, a vietnamese model, a baby and an assistant in a few weeks time. Pictures to follow!

Have you discovered any interesting locations recently?
